Purpose

This policy outlines the measures Business Intelli Solutions Inc. is taking to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and outlines temporary adjustments to our sick leave and remote work policies. We ask all employees to follow these guidelines to ensure a healthy and safe work environment. We will handle your health information with confidentiality and sensitivity.

This policy is subject to updates as new governmental guidelines are introduced. We will inform you of any changes via email.

 

Scope

This policy applies to all employees working in our office(s). Remote employees are encouraged to review the policy to ensure a consistent and unified response across the organization.

 

Policy Guidelines

Sick Leave Arrangements:

  • i ) If you experience symptoms such as cough, sneezing, fever, or generally feel unwell, request sick leave or work from home.
  • ii ) If you test positive for COVID-19, you may return to the office only after full recovery, with a doctor’s note confirming your health.

Work from Home Requests:

  • i ) If you are ill but able to work, you can request to work remotely.
  • ii ) Employees returning from areas with high COVID-19 cases (per CDC guidelines) must work from home for 14 days and can return only when symptom-free.
  • iii ) If you have been in close contact with someone infected by COVID-19, you are required to work from home for 14 days and avoid contact with colleagues.
  • iv ) Parents needing to care for children at home or employees caring for infected family members can request remote work. You may return to the office after 14 days and with a doctor’s note if necessary.

Travel and Commuting:

  • i ) All work-related travel and events, domestic or international, are postponed until further notice.
  • ii ) In-person meetings should be conducted virtually when possible.
  • iii ) Employees relying on public transportation may request to work from home as a precaution.
  • iv ) If you voluntarily travel to high-risk areas, you will be required to work from home for 14 days and avoid contact with others.

General Hygiene Rules:

  • i ) Wash hands frequently, especially after using the restroom, before meals, and after sneezing or coughing.
  • ii ) Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue, then dispose of the tissue and sanitize your hands.
  • iii ) Ensure proper ventilation by opening windows.
  • iv ) Avoid touching your face to reduce the risk of infection.
  • v ) If you regularly cough or sneeze, avoid close contact with others and take extra precautions, such as requesting sick leave.
